SsangYong Actyon Sports

• Adoption of 155ps e-XDi active diesel engine delivering class-beating low end torque of 190Nm
• SUT boasting versatile utility, convenience and economy
• Cavernous and comfortable interior with space for five passengers

SsangYong’s new Actyon Sports is based on the emerging concept of the Sport Utility Truck, or SUT. It boasts powerful performance and strong economy blended with comfort and true versatility.

Striking looks immediately set the Actyon Sports apart from more standard pick ups and leave little doubt to its main purpose as a lifestyle vehicle. External style is matched with a luxurious and well appointed interior befitting a vehicle aimed at being as at home in the high street as on a high mountain pass. The addition of the latest e-XDi diesel engine helps ensure the Actyon Sports reflects both the desires and needs of those who want to get out there and live their life to the full.

The Actyon Sports’ rich appointments and sharp character lines result in a robust and dynamic look, unique characteristics of SsangYong and as equally suited to outdoor leisure activities as urban driving. Mid/low-speed torque has been optimised for those driving environments for which the Actyon Sports is designed.

The e-XDi active diesel engine optimises torque throughout the most frequently-used rev ranges from 1,500 to 2,800 rpm. It also boasts 16 per cent more power than the outgoing unit, with maximum power of 155ps and maximum torque of 360Nm. Meanwhile, the low end torque of 190Nm, one of the most important characteristics of the sports utility truck, is class beating. All this helps ensure a rewarding drive, both in terms of performance and economy.

With manual transmission the 2.0 litre diesel 2WD, Actyon Sports achieves CO2 emissions of 196g/km (7.4 L/100km) and the manual transmission 4WD achieves 199g/km (7.5 L/100km) while auto transmission 4WD achieves 199g/km (7.6 L/100km).
The front of the new Actyon Sports features a mesh-type hexagonal grill with black bezel headlamps, more commonly seen on luxury passenger cars, nestled in a trapezoid bumper. An edgy beltline links with the rear bumper and helps highlight the vehicle’s sporty and sharp image, ending in wide rear glass and clear rear lights. Especially, a wide selection of 4 wheel types satisfies various tastes of customer.

Storage space and utilities have been maximised and the 2.04 sq metre load space has a flat floor which ensures smooth loading via the sprung easy-lift tailgate.

Dynamic appeal continues in the cabin with a luxurious combination of black and metal grain, and high-efficiency LED instrument cluster to maximise visibility and convenience.

Soft and luxurious genuine leather is provided as an optional feature, and the 2nd row seat, equipped with center headrest and folding center armrest, can be tilted back at an angle of 29 degrees, providing comfortable interior space large enough for five passengers.

Reflecting the demands which might be placed on it, the new Actyon Sports uses SsangYong’s triple-structure ultra-strong frame, while ESP and 4WD help maintain outstanding grip and directional control.

As befits a vehicle aimed squarely at outdoor leisure enthusiasts, multiple storage spaces can be found in the new Actyon Sports, including a sunglasses holder, center console, and center tray. On the open road, the driver can opt to engage in the eco cruise control system, ECM room mirror, heated 1st / 2nd seats, heated steering wheel, and speed sensitive power steering wheel.

A USB port on the centre tray enables users to play external audio devices, while Bluetooth hands-free set up enables safe use of a mobile phone for the driver on the move. Bluetooth also allows streaming of music files from mobile phones.
