On Monday, March 5, 2012, the day before the traditional press days, the votes for the 7 finalist cars will be counted and the winner announced to the audience of attending accredited journalists and the exhibitors of the Motor Show. The ceremony will take place in the Congress Centre at PALEXPO.
This trophy is awarded to the automobile manufacturer deemed to have the most extraordinary car in the view of the jury of 59 automobile journalists coming from 23 countries in Europe. All models launched on the European market during the previous year and having sold a minimum of 5000 units are eligible for this competition.
Marjo Kohler from the Swedish car magazine Vi Bilägare and President of the organizing committee, Car of the Year 2012 selection, announced: “We are very happy tocollaborate with the Geneva International Motor Show. Geneva proves an ideal communication platform for presenting this trophy.” The satisfaction is mutual. Andre Hefti, Managing Director of the Motor Show expressed this when he said “it is an honour to welcome this ceremony within the framework of our event”.

Your badge will have to be collected directly on site at the gate E2 (main building) on Monday 5 March (14.00-18.00) or during the press days on 6 and 7 March 2012.
Your registration form (printed from the website) duly filled in, along with a valid 2012 Press Card or any credential of your activity as professional journalist / photographer will be requested.
The Motor Show will accept your request according to the credentials shown. Accreditation is not guaranteed.
