The 82nd Geneva International Motor Show: Objectives achieved!
The Geneva International Motor Show closed its doors Sunday evening after 10 days open to the public. The managers from the exhibiting constructors confirmed that this 82nd edition of the Motor Show was a terrific success with the presentation of some 150 World and European premiers, and were happy that their brands enjoyed the extensive international visibility that they have come to expect from this event, which was relayed by the 11,680 journalists attending from more than 80 countries. The 702,014 visitors benefited from a more comfortable Motor Show experience thanks to an increase in the number of parking spaces available, better sign posting, and the outstanding cooperation and efforts from the Police, the CFF (national railways) and TPG (local public transport company). The Green Test Drives allowed more than 10,000 visitors to test drive a large selection of ecological vehicles. The Geneva International Motor Show 2013 will take place from March 7-17, 2013. +

After two days of a series of presentations of some 150 World and European Premiers to a multitude of more than 10,000 journalists from all over the world, the Geneva International Motor Show opened its doors to the general public last Thursday in the presence of the President of the Swiss Confederation, Mrs. Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf. Since then, more than 310,000 visitors have viewed the more than 850 vehicles on exhibition. This beats last year’s record by 2%, which so far indicates the show to be a hugely popular success. Many visitors took advantage of the offer of a 50% reduction on the price of an entry ticket after 4:00 p.m., which helped to spread out the flow of visitors so that those attending the Show enjoyed the best conditions possible. +
