One exhibition hall entirely dedicated to exhibitors offering accessories, parts, equipment and services to the automobile service and supply industry.

The Geneva International Motor Show is one of the « Top 5 » motor shows in the world and each year welcomes more than 700,000 visitors. Exhibition Hall 7 will bring together more than a hundred exhibitors who supply parts, accessories, and equipment and services to the automobile service and supply industry. It will be the largest annual exhibition for this sector held in Switzerland. It is an event not to be missed for all automobile professionals who provide regular service for or who enhance the performance, appearance, and security of their client’s vehicles.

The Geneva International Motor Show is one of the five largest and most important international motor shows that provide a platform for all automobile manufacturers to present their products during two Press Days that are attended by more than 10,000 media representatives from all over the world.  It is also a great opportunity for Swiss professionals from this sector to meet more than 700,000 potential clients.

Palexpo’s Hall 7 is entirely dedicated to companies who provide accessories, parts, equipment and automotive services and offers a unique opportunity to present their products and services along with the more than 50 World and European Premiers to be presented at the Motor Show.

The global revenue for the Swiss automobile sector was 95.4 billion Swiss Francs in 2011, an increase of 5 billion over 2009.  Some 20,900 companies employing more than 227,900 people are involved in this branch of the economy.  The most important segment of this industry (around 18.7 billion Swiss Francs) is the transport sector.  This is closely followed by the service and repair garages (17.9 billion), new car sales (around 16.1 billion), Swiss companies who do work for the international automobile manufacturers (14 billion), the oil companies with refineries and service stations (around 11.6 billion), automobile leasing (around 7.1 billion) and vehicle insurance companies (around 4.6 billion Swiss Francs).*

The reliability and safety of automobiles has been greatly improved in recent years.  Better driver education, improved infrastructure and new driving regulations have contributed largely to these results.  However the technological evolution of vehicles, enhanced active and passive security standards, plus the improved quality of fuels, lubricants and tires have also made a key contribution.

Although it is clear that this largest and most important exhibition for this sector is mainly oriented to a professional clientele, it will also be attractive for all visitors interested in personalising the look and performance of their vehicles to visit the large section in Hall 7 dedicated to Tuning accessories.
