The Juke is a new entry to the « crossover » category from the Japanese constructor Nissan.  The design has been very controversial with journalists, who have called it eccentric. The Juke will be sold in Europe, North America and Japan using the same name for all markets.  The vehicle is manufactured in the UK and Japan.  It was inspired by the Qazana concept car which received an enthusiastic reception at the Geneva International Motor Show in 2009.  It will join the Nissan range between the NOTE city car and the QUASHQAI crossover.
