There was a double world premier for Mercedes at the 2009 Show. In addition to its new E-Class Sedan, this prestigious German manufacturer also presented a new coupe version of this series. The two models share the same quad –headlamp front design and rear wing treatment. However, in spite of sharing a name and some design similarities, the E-Coupe stands out on its own. This model was derived from the C-Class as can be seen in its front end treatment, the dashboard display, and particularly the wheelbase, which is identical to the C-Class. The E-Coupe measures 2.76 meters versus the 2.87 meters of the E-Class Sedan. The E-Coupe replaces the CLK.
