Positioned somewhere between the ZX and XM, this 4.4 m long 5-door sedan was the result of a joint effort undertaken by Citroën and Bertone design engineers. All of Citroën's technological prowess was enlisted to fit the Xantia with a powerful active safety system (Hydractive 2). Three fuel injection powerplants were available: 1.8i with 130 hp, 2.0i with 123 hp and 2.0i with 155 hp.
