Eurosport will broadcast Citroën, Honda, Peugeot, Skoda, Porsche, Renault & more in 2014
Eurosport’s coverage of the motorports season includes competitions featuring many Manufacturers exhibiting at the Geneva International Motor Show. The FIA WTCC, Le Mans 24 Hours, FIA ERC, Porsche Mobil 1 Super Cup and Renault World Series are the events where fans can follow the sporting achievements of their favourite car manufacturers in 2014, Eurosport’s 25th anniversary year.
Citroën & Honda in FIA WTCC
Citroën and Honda, present in Geneva, will compete in the FIA World Touring Car Championship. For its tenth anniversary the WTCC, promoted by Eurosport Events, faces a major turning point in terms of technical regulations for the competing cars which provides an increase of power by 20 percent and a more aggressive look. The season will also be boosted by the arrival of Sebastien Loeb who will make his debut on circuit with Citroën after winning a record nine World Rally Championships. The third major committed Manufacturer is LADA.
The 2014 season starts on 12 April in Marrakech. Eurosport’s coverage of the WTCC will be extensive with all Sunday’s races live on Eurosport and Eurosport 2, Saturday’s qualifiers live or delayed on Eurosport and the Inside WTCC magazine broadcast on Tuesdays in prime time.
Peugeot & Skoda in FIA ERC
Exhibitors Peugeot and Skoda as well as Ford, Opel and Subaru also compete on Eurosport in the FIA European Rally Championships promoted by Eurosport Events and running from January to November. All 12 rounds of the calendar will be covered on Eurosport with a selection live.
Porsche, Audi & Toyota for Le Mans 24 Hours
The legendary event is one of the year’s highlights and fans will enjoy extensive coverage on Eurosport with the broadcasting of the qualifying sessions on 11-12 June and every minute of the race live on 14-15 June. The return of record winner Porsche is highly expected and the battle against Audi and Toyota will be a climax in 2014.
Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup & World Series by Renault
Eurosport’s four-wheel offer also includes this season the live and delayed broadcast on Eurosport and Eurosport 2 of all rounds of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup and World Series by Renault.
