08.01.2013 - News The 83rd Geneva International Motor Show: Innovation and respect for the environment
The Havas Worldwide Genève has won the competition to create the official poster for the 83rd Geneva International Motor Show (March 7-17, 2013). The selection committee was very impressed with the aesthetic and modernity of their design. The creators not only responded to the technical briefing from the organisers, but have also taken into account the environmental issues that have become unavoidable in today’s world. They have presented the Geneva International Motor Show as the ideal venue for bringing innovation and respect for the environment together in pursuing their common goals and solutions for the future.
During the creation of this poster, Havas Worldwide Genève was focused on one mission: Blurring traditional lines of separation. Julien Brunner, their Art Director, explained the ideas behind their graphic: “Where does the automobile begin? Where does the countryside begin? If we look more closely, the clues are clear: The delicate mix of colours evokes nature, where the polygonal forms represent progress. Their interplay represents the ideal automobile. As an inspiration for the futuristic illustration depicting the modern world, the agency took the view of the nostalgia for the times when the future can again be a source of optimism and dreams. Yes, the automobile can offer some great things for the future. Yes, the automobile can evolve as fast as today’s drivers want to enjoy a means of transport that is relevant to a changing world. So what do we see when we look through this window? It is clear that the Geneva Show will continue to hold its place as a “temple” of the automobile for a long time to come”.
This graphic will be used for all national and international communications of the Geneva International Motor Show 2013 and will enhance the logos of our sponsoring partners: gaz naturel/biogaz, our principal sponsor for the official site www.salon-auto.ch, and the Swiss national railway company CFF, our sponsor in the domain of public transportation.
This poster will be available on the site www.salon-auto.ch and can be downloaded in high resolution.
